This beautiful illustration is of the fairy tale ‘The Six Swans.’ In the fairy tale, a king is cursed and his six sons turned into swans until his daughter knits coats of nettles that return them to human form. Swan’s Sister depicts the sister cradling one of her brothers as the other five fly overhead.
